Do you guys know any nicknames related to where your kids are from?
Like "Hoosiers" from Indiana, or "Hawkeyes" from Iowa...
People from Guatemala are nicknamed "Chapins".
My daughter was born in Escuintla, GT and the nickname from there is "Escuintleca".
Anyone know the nicknames from other Guatemalan provinces?

I'm not guatemalan, nor am I adopting from Guatemala, but I found an interesting discussion of the term "Chapines." it was apparently a pejorative and has lost some of the neg conotations:

I'm still not sure whether it has the same meaning coming from folks not from guatemala. ah well. interesting :) .
Our tour guide told us that people from Lake Amatitlan are sometimes called "pescado"...which means fish. Not sure if this is really true or if it's complimentary or not, but it was enough for me to buy a small stone fish for our son on our tour to Lake Amatitlan, the place of his birth. He does love to swim, and is himself a fish.
