Basically I want to express my love for her. I've never forgotten about her. She's been in my daily thought since the day she left my arms in the hospital. I have missed her very much. Even though I couldn't raise her as my own I've always had a special place in my heart for her. She has given me a second chance at life, growing up and going to college. I just want her to know her life has always been important to me. I've always wanted the best for her. That's why I choose to give her a better and blessed life with two parents, and loving environment. A life for a princess. She had that life with her adoptive parents and I will forever for greatful to them and God for allowing that to happen.

There are so many articulate birthmothers out there. Do any of you write poetry?

I don't know about a poem for you but these songs came to mind. :wings:
Lyrics: I Gave You More
by Joy Saunders Lundberg
A voice beyond the world we know, a quiet whisper from above,
Directed me to sacrifice and give you more than just my love.
A fathers and a motherҒs care is what you needed, little one;
A home thats bound by sacred vows, where God directs what should be done.
(Chorus)
So I opened wide the door
So I could give you more,
A fatherҒs and a mothers love,
All that IҒd been dreaming of,
A place of peace for you,
Where hopes and dreams come true.
A need my heart could not ignore.
I let you go to give you more.
At times my arms still feel the ache to hold you close and comfort you,
But deep inside Ive always known I did what God would have me do.
I knew somehow that other arms were chosen by divine decree
To nurture you with tender love and graft you in their family tree.
(Repeat Chorus)
Now as you grow and live your life, please savor each new welcomed day,
Expressing gratitude for all the gifts of love that come your way.
But keep one gift within in your heart, and I will keep within mine, too,
That I, who gave you birth and life, will always love and pray for you.
(Repeat Chorus, then:)
I let you go,
Please always know,
I let you go to give you more.

Lyrics: Empty Arms
by Janice Kapp Perry
(Birth mother)
Its not a choice that anyone should ever have to make
And I hope someday youҒll come to know I did it for your sake
I knew from the beginning you deserved a chance to live,
But in my heart I knew you would need more than I could give.
I prayed that God would strengthen me to do what I must do.
And I made a choice that I believed would be the best for you,
For I loved you with a special love that only parents know,
A kind of pure unselfish love that helped me let you go.
I knew my empty arms would hurt me through the years,
And thoughts of all that might have been would often bring a tear,
But I had peace amid the struggle, for in my heart I knew
There were loving arms and caring hands waiting hopefully for you.
And I knew what I must do.
(Adoptive Parents)
So many years weve waited for a child to call our own.
The sorrow in our aching hearts was known to God alone.
Through tears and faith and lonely days this blessing was withheld
And then we realized our child must come through someone else.
We prayed that she would have the strength to let her baby live,
And share with us the tender gift that she alone could give.
Then we waited for a miracle, itҒs all that we could do,
Just praying there would come a day that wishes would come true.
Because our empty arms have hurt us through the years,
And thoughts of all that might have been would often bring a tear,
But we felt hope amid the struggle, for in our hearts we knew
There could be an angel mother who could make all our dreams come true.
Now we know that it was you.
We know your empty arms may hurt you through the years,
And thoughts of all that might have been may sometimes bring a tear,
But may God protect and bless you and help your heart endure,
Knowing those who love your little one will have empty arms no more.
(Birth mother)
I loved you with a special love that only parents know;
A kind of pure unselfish love that helped me let you go.

I write poetry - it's been a few months since the last poem I wrote, but I have posted quite a few poems here.
I don't know if any of my poems are what you're looking for, but I'll put the links to a few of my poems for you to take a look at and see what you think.
Maybe something like this one,

It means so much to have Birthmom's and even Amom's care like you did to responed to my post.
