Our foster mom brought Nestel's NAN formula for Josh and I can't find it in our stores...it's only available online. Does anyone know of an equivalent?
That is what our daughter is on also. I have been told that Nestle Good Start is the closest.

You can go to the nestle website and search for stores that sell nan. THats what I did and found some stores in OHio not to far that sell. Hope that helps. I could PM you the link.
Hugs:banana: (just trying out new ones)
I tried searching the Nestle site and unfortunately there weren't any stores near us that sell it. I can order it online, but it would just be easier to buy something close to it. There are so many to choose from and I'm a new mom. I don't want to make him sick.
I just saw it for the first time yesterday in Publix - a supermarket in the Southeast. We live in South Florida so I don't know if it's just in our stores - but if you live near a Publix, they have to provide you with something if they have it for sale in another store. Which means they'll get it for you.
And b/c it's for sale in the United States you know it meets all the FDA requirements. So bonus!! (I know, but I just love the dancing banana) ;)
Here is the link if people want to find stores near them that sell this product:\

I am actually VERY concerned about this issue because our sweeite  is on NAN HA 1. She has some special issues with reflux and lactose problems. I can't find ANYTHING remotely like it in the US. It is NOT a Soy forumla. So I have NO idea what I am going to do for her.
Many Indian grocers sell the Nestle baby formula products. All them in my area carry them. My son came home drinking Nido, which is the whole milk formula for young children---he's twenty months old. I still buy it for him from these Indian grocery stores.
Have you talked to your pediatrician yet? S/he may be able to make a good recommendation for your case. My son was on 3 different types of formula while we lived in Guate, including a special one for reflux (we had some SERIOUS projectile vomitting going on for a while). After emailing our pediatrician, we got some really good, practical advice on how to handle the situation.

Mindy, NAN HA 1 is a hydrolysed formula - in the US the equivalent is Nutramigen or Alimentum. Pricey, but if your child has milk/soy protein intolerance (MANY Guat. babies have this) it's the only thing they can digest. HTH!! Steph:moped: (wanted to try out the motorcycle - sorry!!)
Stephanie~Thank you so much. I really appreciate the info. I was so confused but now it is clear to me. SHe is much better on the new NAN HA 1 and so I want her to stay on it or something like it.

Hi there!
Like others said, Mariah was on NAN 1 in Guatemala. We bought 2 cans to bring home and mixed it in w/ Nestle Good Start Supreme to transition her. She had no trouble transitioning and actually she rarely spits up anymore and used to quite often on the NAN.

When I go down there on our pu trip I am just buying a ton of cans of it. We don't have any place around here that sells it, and I figure that she's not going to be on it too much longer being that she'll be 10.5 months when she comes home. The transition to Nestle good start is a great idea, though. If I run out that may be what I end up doing.
