Hello Seattle adopting families! What a great opportunity to share the joy and excitement of building our families through adoption. Looking forward to seeing some posts from the Seattle area! :coffee:
Hi,
We're in Seattle as well. We're currently in the process of adopting a baby girl from Guatemala. Seattle is a very adoption friendly town- we love it! :)

Also here in Seattle. Just in the beginning stages of thinking about adoption (Guatemala). Looking forward to learning from those of you farther along the process!

Hi Guys,
I'm on the eastside in Redmond / Samammish area. We adopted a little boy and girl from Guatemala last year. They are just about 15 mo old. Would love to meet some other local adoptive families. Maybe when the weather gets nice we can find a central park to meet up at?

Get together this summer sounds good to me. It would have to be a fenced in place as my two like to go in opposite directions.

Hi. I live in Kenmore/Bothell area.
I have a three yr old daughter from Guatemala and in process of adopting a baby boy.
Well, I am an adoptee as well as someone who adopted from Russia. I would love to connect with some other families. Anyone live near Greenlake?
Hey Seattlites....
We have just started pursuing domestic independant adoption, and are still waiting for completion of our home study. I don't actually live in Seattle any more. I grew up there, but now live about two hours east, near Leavenworth. Unfortunatly there is not a Leavenworth, or Wenatchee Group. So I thought I would say Hi here.
:hypno:
Chani I'm in West Seattle relatively close to Greenlake. Unfortunately I can't take my kids to open parks like Greenlake because they don't stay together. I have to use fenced in parks.

Hi, everyone. Great to see so many Seattle families! We live in Greenlake, and are trying to adopt a little boy from Guatemala. Just starting the paperchase.....
Hi all, North Seattle (Shoreline) here, just starting the process of adopting from Ethiopia. I agree with the earlier statement that it's great to see so many locals! Oh yeah - I'm also an adoptee (like one of the earlier posters).

Hi all
I'm excited to find this forum!
We're in the process of adopting a 5 year old girl from Guatemala. I'm PRAYING she'll be home late spring but I know that would mean that everything from here on out goes without a glitch.
We have two bio sons (age 9 and 16) and we live in Bothell.
A get together sounds GREAT!
Hello - I'm new to the forum, to adoption, and to parenthood in general...and would love to be included in a Seattle get together if it occurs. I'm on the eastside but will travel! I'm single and am adopting a daughter (due in a week!) and would love the camraderie of local folks with similar experiences.

Hi, We live in Shoreline/Edmonds area and are doing our home study next week. We are going the domestic independent route. Great to see many others here!
My husband and i are working with a really good agency to adopted are first. We can't seem to have kids. We have gone to many doctors and it just keeps adding up. We are also in Seattle. My question is. what are some ways to raise money? I am trying the online fundraiser but so far no luck.
