We found out that the records transfered to Catholic Charities in Kansas City. They have a person who conducts searches through the courts for adoptees. There is a fee. What I hear is that the fee was very little to pay for what they got. We have not done this because in Missouri, if the birth parents are deceased they wont release any information. She was born in 1937. You may find that someone has been looking for him. Birthparents can contact the institution and make record of their desire to meet, but they will not contact the adoptee. The adoptee has to come to them to find out. I realize that he was not adopted, maybe that will work in his favor. All of this is according to Missouri law only, so check out the laws for CA. And pray to God for some guidance. Happy Hunting!
