Can anybody tell me how long (on average) it takes for the CO Voluntary Adoption Registry to confirm a match? A person who might be my b-mom sent her paperwork in around the 7th of Feb. I've been registered there for a couple of years. Anyway, we're both on pins and needles waiting to hear. We've BOTH been scammed before by people claiming to be the ones we're searching for, so we decided to go this route. The web-site says about 3 weeks, but I'm getting impatient. Should I call, email, or just wait?? :grr:

Amy, I don't know. I signed up with it but never got a match that way as my bmom had not signed up with it. How about putting your info in the mutual consent registry run by the people who maintain COregistry. There are over 5200 entries in this database.Search the Colorado Adoption RegistryThis is a different registry from the CO Voluntary Registry(COVAR) provided by the state. Then join the group COregistry. It is a wonderful yahoo group. The group is great. There are very seasoned volunteer searches. We support each other through everything.
