Hi, I was wondering if anyone could provide me with information or a link to information about careers in the adoption field? I would love to work with children and families who are adopting or wanting to adopt, but I haven't been able to find any information about the education or experienced needed.
Thanks in advance!
:-)

Adoption Agencies are a good place to start for information.:) I know I've seen several adoption agency websites that have an employement link for jobs they have available so you might check those out to see what requirements/jobs are needed.
Another place to check out is on our site here. There are links to info/education/training that might give you a starting point

Most people I know who are working in this field have degrees in Social Work or Psychology etc. and then take specific courses on child protection services etc.
My cousin was a therapist for many years and decided she wanted to switch careers. She is now taking classes to be a Guardian Ad Litum through her county. While it's a volunteer position now, she is thinking of going to law school with a focus on family law.
