Looking for Birth Family

I have a friend that is looking for a brother that was born sometime around 1948-1950 in California that was adopted through the catholic agency. Do you have any other info?

unfortunately, I have no information at all on my birth family. All I know is that I was born in San Francisco California and was placed in an orphanage from birth to 8 months. I was adopted at 9 months old from Catholic Charities or another Catholic Service Agency. My adopted family was from San Diego. I grew up in San Diego. I have contacted the State Office in California in order to get some information on my birth family. Hopefully, I can find out more about my birth name. Thanks for getting back to me.
