My husband I got an email today that all of our background checks have come through and we are now going to start the classes.
We do not have any children of our own and this is our first time applying to be foster parents. I am joining the forums in hopes of advice and support. Thanks!

Hello! Thank you, I am sure we will have many more questions as the process continues. One of the big ones I have is whether bunk beds are allowed. We would like to get a sibling group, either 2 boys or 2 girls. We only have one bedroom available. I have been reading that it depends on where you are as to if bunk beds are allowed. We would like to start getting the items we know we will need once we finish the classes.

Hello! I have no idea when we will be able to finish all the classes. I work on a rotating schedule so finding classes that both of us will be able to attend at the same time will be challenging.

I would ask about the beds. We can have bunk beds as long as the child on top is over 6 I think (the age might be different, but honestly I would not want my child up there until 8).
