My husband and I are also from Canada and are seriously considering adopting from Bulgaria. We adopted our beautiful daughter from China July 2007 at 7 1/2 months of age. I am finding that there is not alot of information on the adoptive process in Bulgaria and we would also be very greatful for any information, websites, blogs etc that anyone can give us.
Thanks.

Kathy,I am in Ontario, are you? I know of 3 agencies that place children from Bulgaria in Ontario. CARC International Adoption > HomeCaring Homes For Orphan Children ADOPTIONWelcome to Loving Heart International Adoption Agency - we bring families together There isnt a great deal of info on Bulgarian adoption regarding blogs. I have only found one but it doesnt have much information. I believe there will be a boom regarding adoption in Bulgaria very soon as they joined the EU which slowed down the process, but since then they have a new minister of justice and have made many positive changes. I believe there is also an agency in BC called sunrise. If you need any more info let me know, as we have sent in our application, are almost done gathering info for our homestudy and hope to submit our dossier in the fall.
Hi Catt
I am in Saskatchewan. Thanks for the links. The last agency I wasn't aware of but their website has some good information. I have also been talking with Choices in BC but they actually haven't had any children come home yet although have sent some dossiers over.
We are still waiting to do our homestudy.

Catt13 - no worries:) Unfortunately, because of some agencies "backlash" and complaints over the years, we had to implement the no agency discussion rule for ANYTHING. Decided it wouldn't be fair to only allow positive experiences when there are negative ones as well, so that is why we require all feedback to be done privately.
