My husband and I have been married 4 years and we just completed the adoption process. I am now the birth mother of his 12 year old son. His son has lived with us since day 1. The original birth mother is a drug addict and didn't pay child support. She also didn't visit.
Now, we are having problems with the son lying and cheating in school. He doesn't want to do any work at home and loves to back talk. Is this just normal teenager stuff or is this something that needs to be addressed because its related to the adoption? I am lost!!
