It has been nearly 22 years since I found my b parents. I was adopted through Catholic Charities. When I went and had a meeting with a woman named "Rhoda" in 1986, she told me my birth name was "Mary", along with other useless pieces of non-identifying information. After talking with other adoptees in Cincinnati at a CUB meeting, I found out that at the Cincinnati Catholic Charities maternity home & orphanage during the mid 1960's, most baby girls were named Mary, and the baby boys were named Joseph, regardless of what name (if any) was on their original birth certificate. You would think that would be a bit confusing for those nuns, eh?
