Agencies in Kansas City (Platte County)

Anyone?? I've called and emailed several agencies but no one is calling me back.

MBCH (MO Baptist Children's Home) has an office in Lee's Summit. Would that be an option for you? MBCH CFM provides case management services with the goal of finding permanency for children in State custody. Family Foster Care services are provided in St. Louis, Springfield, Branson, St. Joseph, Joplin and Lee’s Summit.

Did you try DCFS? Are you in the KC area? If so, try Jackson County.

I live in Clay county and they are not currently licensing for adoptive parents, so they referred me to a really solid list of agencies. Missouri Baptist Children's Home does an info meeting the first monday of every month, but I think that you have to RSVP. They seemed very helpful. The Downeyside Agency was also really, REALLY, helpful and SO nice! I also called MFCAA and got no where. Some of the other places that Clay County referred me are Cornerstones of Care & Catholic Charities/Family Advocates, I just haven't been able to get ahold of them yet. Good Luck! We ended up getting licensed through Cornerstones of Care which subcontracted the training to MBCH so in essence we are licensed through them. (We're in Platte County.)
