I found out that my daughter has been searching for her godmother e-mailed saying that my daughter has been searching for me that her brother and wife googled my name found out that posted back in 2002 (I went back to update my profile)that shes asking questions they told her i'm not a bad person just made bad choices.I came to this site searched her name my daughter posted 2 days after her birthday with a phone number, I started crying uncontolablly, got the guts to call her left a voice message saying that "This your birthmother I am to trying to scare you but please call me(I gave her my phone number)" then e-mailed her,Writing her that I know shes confused and has many many questions and i will answer all of them truthfully and honestly. I have searching for my daughter since she was 16.And that I have Loved her and constanly thought of her wishing a happy birthday all holidays and cried many many days and nites. I know its been a week I just want her to contact me and I know it will take her time my emotions are like a roller coaster up and down, But i also want her know that I have always loved and never ever stopped thinking of her. Could some one please tell or help understand why she hasn't contacted me..... I am scared too......
I would suspect that it is just taking time to digest the emotions that are involved. Even if both parties are searching, when the contact is made there is bound to be an inrush of emotion. I'd say that it is just taking time because of this.
Unfortunately we can't get what we want in these situations immediately. To rush it is a recipe for disaster.
The only other point is to try to keep the drama to a minimum. It's fine to be honest and open but I'd watch coming across too strong.
Best wishes!

Have you heard anything yet? I'm hoping you have. Be encouraged, when I first got my bmom's phone #, I was going to wait a while till I calmed down. It was an e-mail saying she was sitting there crying and waiting prompted me to call right then. It worked out fine though. Please keep us updated! Best wishes,
Kitty
