I'm working on getting my nursery together
I'd like to set up a twin bed and a crib but the room I am using is narrow and long.
I'm seeing mini cribs on Walmart's website. I've never heard of these before. Are they allowed? At what age do the children outgrow them?
Ask your agency, but we can even use a pack n play. My bios napped in a pack n play until they were around 2. Many kids are potty training around then and need to get out of the crib to be successful anyway.

Thanks for your reply. I guess that leads to my next question. Is there a certain age they have the be in a toddler bed or twin bed?
Moving from a crib to a bed depends on the child. If an 18 month old is climbing out of the crib then it's time for a bed but some 2.5 year old love sleeping in a crib. I wouldn't bother with a toddler bed, most of the kids I know refused to sleep in them. I've always used twin beds with side rails so they can't fall out. It depends on the kid, if they flip flop in the bed then they may need the rails, one of mine didn't. the other did for about 3 months.
I thought foster kids had to be in a regular bed at 2, but I could be wrong. I can't imagine having a 2yo in a crib anyway.
