We have 2 bio boys ages 13 ad 11, and a 5 yr. old we adopted from our local c&y agency 5 years ago. We received her at a month old and moved to termination then adoption, the whole process took about a year. Well here we are again, this time around we are looking at fostering, not so much adoption (that could change). We just requested our paperwork and should be training in the next month or two. I have a few questions....this time around I am working pt at our local school. We are looking for early elem. ages (5-8)...when we get a placement are we able to transfer to our local school, or does he/she stay at current school? If we were to get a preschooler, does the county pay for childcare, or is that included in our per diem? Does anyone out there have any children these ages placed recently and what types of problems are they carrying?
Is is going to be possible for me to continue working? Any other advice, not sure what has changed in the last 5 years...Thanks!
