Has anyone used any of the many sites that offer these classes online?
Has anyone had an experience where the certification wasnt accepted?
Here is the one Im considering:

They do offer a full refund if the certification is not accepted :) Id just not rather waste my time if its an automatic denial.

In my county online CPR and First Aid are not accepted. I would call and check with your SW. Good luck!

So I was perusing the State of California Website of Foster Care, and found this:

excerpt "Online training for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid is permitted"
So it looks like Im good to go :)

Have you taken CPR/First Aid/AEd training before? If not I would probably recommend taking a hands on class. You can practice on the dummy and make sure your apply the right (or wrong) pressure for chest compressions.
Good luck in your journey!!

Do you think that online CPR training will prepare you enough if you need to use it?
I did CPR on my son while waiting for EMT's to arrive. Without the hands on experience, I don't know if I would have been any help to him at all.
I can understand reading about first aid or looking at pictures. But when it comes to saving a child who is not breathing and has no pulse OR is choking to death on a carrot, it's better to know exactly what to do.
I would HOPE and pray that you never have need of the CPR training. But you never know what can happen.
We live in California and we are not allowed to do the online classes.
I also live in California but I never saw restriction regards, online classes for CPR. You can apply for online CPR classes at any time from American CPR Institute.
