Home Study Fees in California

So, we're starting the adoption process again, and I'm trying to determine if we should use the home study agency we used last time. We were happy enough with them, but I'm thinking their fees seem a bit high. For what we'd need, we'd pay $1900 for the home study, then $700 for the post-placement. I know this high compared to other states, but is it high for California? When we went through this the first time (2005), I remember other agencies seeming to be cheaper, but then they required you to take classes, for which you paid extra. Any thoughts? :hippie:
