My name is Andrew Brown and I am an upcoming graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas.
I first became interested in international adoption and child advocacy a few years ago when my cousin and her husband went through an international adoption that did not work out. Needless to say, this experience was incredibly difficult for them as well as for our family. Their experience inspired me to write an article comparing and contrasting international adoption laws. This article was eventually selected for publication in The International Lawyer, a leading journal covering developments in international law. In addition, I have sought out several opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience in the adoption and child advocacy arena, including volunteering for a non-profit that works with orphans in Russia and serving as a guardian/attorney ad-litem in the law school's child advocacy clinic.
I will be graduating in May of 2010 and am willing to relocate.
Attached, please find a copy of my resume. Unfortunately, the file size of the article exceeds the limits set by the forum, but I have a .pdf copy available upon request. If you would like a copy, please email me at acbrown1984@yahoo.com.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Andrew C. Brown
