At what point after the presentation meeting is it acceptable to ask for pre-adoptive placement rather then fost to adopt?
I am certified for Fost and Adopt.
Any advice or exerience? Thanks
Robin
I would mention to the worker now, gauge her/his reaction. Then, if they seem ameniable, let them know you are really wanting to go for it.

I want to add that TPR has already happened. From what I can tell, this is a much more straightforward plan that lots of the experiences I read about here.
Thanks again. :)
I would just say it then. When dd was placed with me,it was pre-adoptive, but alot of people kept calling it foster to adopt because you are techincally fostering them for the 6 month wait until finalization. Maybe just ask it as a question. "So does the six month wait for finalization begin today, at his placement date...or do we need to set a date for that to be official?"
i didn't understand the difference at the time, but my CW changed my status from "foster to adopt" to pre-adopt after the TPR
