I am presently a licensed foster mom with an agency who gets their referrals through DSS...am presently waiting for placement...if I do a foster to adopt will I have to pay for the homestudy? Who has ownership of the homestudy?:flowergift:

If you are fostering to adopt the state or county should pay for it. When we fostered then adopted they just changed our homestudy from foster home study to adoption home study and it didn't cost us anything.

The state paid for mine but I can only use it to adopt from foster care in my own state.
If I want to use it for a private adoption or for another state, I can buy the homestudy from my agency rather than have to start over and do another one. The price is $1500.
