As a graduate with a masters degree in social work, I am searching for a position that will be both rewarding, challenging and make good use of my skill set and experience in the adoption field.
I had been working as a Health Care Integrator at New Alternatives for Children from September 2008 to February 2010 and was able to grow and learn as a social worker working with children and families in the foster care system by providing them with support and services. As you will see I interned at JAFCO where I worked with young children and teenagers in the foster care system as well as Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center working with a multi disciplinary team in the radiology unit. These internships provided me with a tremendous amount of knowledge such as providing psychosocial intakes, individual therapy as well as group therapy. I also have experience in providing patients who have financial difficulties help to find resources both locally and nationally. These experiences provided me with a foundation which will make me a positive asset.
I have both personal experience in adoption as well as professional experience. I am an adult adoptee who has been pursuing a career in adoption and would really appreciate the opportunity to share with you in further detail how I would be a benefit. My resume is attached.
