I'm helping an adoptee friend get her photoblog noticed. Every day she posts an image of something that has been lost or dumped, and she ties it in to themes involving separation, loss, abandonment, escape, freedom and value. For her it is a creative way of working through her feelings about an adoption that she felt didn't fit. It's also, however, about what it means to value something, or realise that you've loved something only once you've let it go.
It's also about recycling, in that everything she takes a photo of will be re-cycled at least once by her before it heads to the land fill.
