My question is actually for the adoptees from the Edna Gladney Home in Fort Worth, Tx.., I was told that when I went through the process as a Birth Mother client that the Adoptive Parents had to inform their Adoptive Child that they were indeed adopted...is this a true statement and were you told?
No adoption agency can "make" an adoptive parent do anything, once the adoption is final.
So while they might have had a policy regarding this - it would be impossible to police post finalization.
Have you contacted the Post Adoption Unit at Gladney to find out if they have any info on file for your case? They do file 'mutual consent' information - so if the child you placed has consented to contact, it'll be on file with them.

No, I haven't checked on that, I can certainly look into, thanks for for your reply! Happy 4th of July!
They now require that you file with the Texas Vountary Adoption Registry. They no longer handle post adoption inquires.
