Just curious. I purchased a few of the books recommened on this forum about foster care, termination of rights and adoption. Our FS's have been with us 13 months. Goal is TPR/Adoption by us. There is a trial coming up to terminate the bgm's KLG of one of the boys (which all agree will happen) and the parents have been a no show for most of the year, so more than likely will be tpr by default. So, when should I start reading these books. Should I wait for actual TPR or start after the hearing the BGM? I'm really worried about (ecspecially the oldest) reaction when it's time to break the news.

to be safe, I'd wait until BGM is out for certain, and that you are 210% the final adoptive family. After the decision is made about that- then it can be time to introduce the books about adoption. I'd read them together once, then leave them in the book area of your home or in the car books so that they can go back to them anytime. You may want to suplement them at the time with books like: "Guess How Much I Love You" and "On the Night You Were Born" and "I Love You So Much", so that even on days they are processing the adoption information with out wanting to talk about it openly, the re-occuring theme is "We love you forever!"
Good luck and best wishes during the time of adjustment for you all
