And I can't find one! I have a nice porcelain one that was gifted to me a long time ago that truly is beautiful - but they're all pasty white. We need a new one. I'm not entirely wanting a totally AA nativity - that's not exactly true either. However, I can't find one that I like anywhere - Ten Thousand Villages, or anywhere.
Any ideas??
I collect Nativity sets and have several from Mexico and a few primitive ones, but it is really hard to find others. I would eventually like to have sets from other countries.

I looked on ebay. I'm thinking about this one, it's more like what I'm thinking.
I like it!
Here are a couple more you might like.

If you have any kind of porcelain craft shop in your area, you can have one made to order. I ordered one years ago with all the robes in shades of green with gold accents. I am sure you can specify "people colors" also.
Jen-Look on Etsy for some one who makes them. I ordered the boys ornaments from a lady on there and she did two separate skin and hair tones for the boys. They came out super cute. I hope to order a transracial family ornament from her for next year!
You can mix and match..after all the people were more so brown/POC. Some lighter than others.
This is what I have, a nice set..not garish and decent quality.

In addition, I had a Fisher Price type set of all brown for the kids. I also found a ceramic set that the kids painted last year for their playroom display. It was a nice and sometimes hilarious way to discuss various skin hues.
