Just wondering if Central FL counties does legal risk placements. I know nothing is guaranteed until after TPR/appeals but I'd like to know my chances of getting a girl 0-4 mnths that "more than likely" will be TPR. We either haven't gotten that far in class or they are not going to discuss it.
Thanks
I would highly doubt that you will be placed with a child that young where you will know with any certainty they will become available for adoption. We are finalizing the adoption of our DS on Monday. He was 7 days when I picked him up from the hospital. BM had already lost PR to 5 children and she probably would have made "adequate" progress on her case plan for several years. Fortunately she signed voluntary surrenders when he was 5 months old and no family members stepped forward to adopt him. You should ask her your MAPPS instructor how it works with your agency but in order to adopt a baby you have to put yourself out there.

I am starting the process on April 5th. I live in Polk county. I want to foster (with high hopes to adopt) ages0-3. What agency are you using?
Sadly, there is always a risk. Ask about resource foster parenting. Its common in So FL, not sure about central. You can become a licensed foster parent and they "reserve" your home for children that are likely to be expedited TPR without prospective adoptive placements outside of foster care.
No matter what, try foster-to-adopt. For a child in the age range you are looking for, the opportunity for straight adoption (without fostering) is slim to none.
