I am not faced with such challenges (yet), but trying to inform and educate myself as much as possible being an adoptive parent and trying to correct some possible future challenges/mistakes.
If anyone has read a good book on how to prepare for such things like RAD, or just good parenting the adoptive child (2yrs-toddler), not from birth. I'd appreciate any suggestions rather than going by a preface on a book.

Building the Bonds of Attachment: Awakening Love in Deeply Troubled Children by Daniel A. Hughes. About a little girl who came into FC at age 5, and chews thru 3 homes before finding a therapeutic mom and therapist team who help her do the hard work to heal. Also describes the SWs role and thinking.
