As the author of this book, it's difficult for me to sing its praises, but I do know that it's been getting some awesome reviews on Amazon from parents and non-parents alike. Eighteen years ago I fostered then adopted a 3-year-old boy who, as it turned out, had been horrifically abused. As it turns out, so had I. Our journey together through therapy, violence, destruction, police interventions, hospitalizations, and suicide attempts is chronicled as clearly, simply, and honestly as I could in RAISING ABEL. The best part? We made it through to the other side. It's a difficult story to read, but I hope it will give other foster-adopt parents hope as they go through the bad times.

Thank you LilyGirl and JCM! I appreciate your getting the book and taking the time to let me know that you got something out of it. If you get the chance and can tell someone else about RAISING ABEL, I'd sure appreciate it. I'm having a heck of a time getting the word out. :) It seems these days authors have to do all their own marketing, and so far, I haven't been very good at it (LOL). Oh well! At least great people like you have read it!
