Travel bed?

I've used my mom's Pack n Play when I've gone places so far, but I'm finding it bulky, and it also means going to her house to get it before I go wherever I'm going. I was looking at different options and I'm having trouble deciding. I thought I liked the Peapod, but then I read about deaths attributed to it and learned that the sides are not breathable, so that doesn't seem like a good idea. I'd like something ultra portable; also, C is almost a year old, so I'd like something that will transition well into toddlerhood. Anyone have any suggestions?
