Hello,
My husband and I are beginning the adoption process, and we are looking for reviews and experiences (positive or negative) with any of these agencies:
Caring for Kids, Inc.
Harmony Adoptions
Adoption Network Law Center
Adopt America Network
Building Blocks Adoption Services
Adoption Circle
Adoption by Gentle Care
A Act of Love
Adoption Link
AdoptHelp
Or, of course, the agencies you had experiences with. As far as I can tell in Ohio, where we live, facilitators are not permitted. At this point, we are looking into a domestic infant.
Thank you for your advice!
Alana
Hi Alana,
My wife and I are located in Columbus, OH and are also beginning to research local adoption agencies. I'd love to hear if you have had any luck in your search, or received positive recommendations.
Best,
Don

Alana,
We too are just beginning our journey. Adoption Link was just recommended to me as one of the least expensive and relatively fast placement (6-18 months). The mom who told me about them was very happy with her experience. They received a placement in 9 months. The home study ($1200) was due up front and rest with placement.
I hope this helps. As I hear more I'll let you know.
Tia
One that you don't have on your list that I was just recommended to is Spirit of Faith Adoptions. Not to add to your confusion, just thought it might help!
I've looked into Caring for Kids and they ask for a large sum of money up front which is a big red flag. Building Blocks for adoptions promises a "fast, easy" process (adoption never is) and placement as fast as 3-6 months. While I don't doubt that they are worthwhile it's just also a red flag.
