Wouldn't ya know it... NO court orders yet or insurance card and we were up all night with our little man with a fever and puking. Most likely viral so just going to treat the symptoms. Ugh
We had to take our little one at 5 days old to the ER, so I feel ya.
Our insurance provided coverage retroactively to the date of placement. We sent the placement document from the agency to them and they instated coverage.
We faxed that document and then left to go to the hospital. The ER was used to dealing with babies not having cards yet. They didn't need a birth certificate or court document. We took what we had. We gave them our insurance card and info.
It took a month or so for the coverage issues to resolve, but ultimately she was covered.
If little one is really sick or ends up needing to go, just go. The insurance will work out later.

Thanks. I figured it would work out if it had to come down to it. He is doing okay now. Still fighting the fever but he stopped puking and is eating a little and drinking lots. Looking forward to this passing, but it could be much worse
