Hi everyone!! Its been a while since I've posted. Thought I would update you.
Since little man was placed with us for adoption 3 most ago so much has happened. He has overcome so many fears and accomplished so much. He adapted to his new name right away. He is no longer afraid to play in a sprinkler or afraid of bugs. He would sleep at the FPs with a night light and the hall light on and had to have his toy cars for comfort everywhere he went. And was not not interested in potty training for them at all. He would wake up out of a sound sleep screaming at the sound of a train. And he didn't know how to swing on a swing or play on outside play sets. He was given cell phones to play with at the FPs and was always surfing you tube for cartoons and things (at 2yrs old). And would throw tantrums if it was taken away and he was allowed to be unnattened with the cell phone for long periods of time
Fast forward 3 mos..... after being with us for a month he took out his night light and said he didn't want it anymore. He no longer carries toy cars around or sleeps with them for comfort, they rest in his toy box for him to play with whenever he wants. He will now swing and play outside as if hes been doing it for years. He is no longer allowed to play on cell phones and he is fine with it. He no longer snacks threw the day or is allowed to just go to the fridge and take food whenever. He sits down for meals with his family and eats like a champ. We gave him a pair of sunglasses to wear when he hears a train so he can "hide" from it. The last time he heard a train he said... "huh, mommy I hear a train, I scared" I said... no, you're not! He said... oh, I'm not. And he was fine with that.
And he is completely potty trained :happydance:
The only thing we are waiting out is... Bio Gma filed a section 45 appeal because she was denied being able to adopt him. We have no worries about that though. She was denied for good reason. Oh, and she filed the appeal the same day she took care of her DUI
