My name is Gina Marrelli and I am also looking for my Daughter who was born in 1986. She was born in Edmonton Alberta and is yet to young for me to look for her says the Government. I just wanted to say that as far as the government is concerned the only thing that you are not allowed to do is get adoption records before the age 18. Other than that it is totally up to you to search, I found my son he is nearly fifteen, I have not made any direct contact with him, I am still unsure, but I know that it is not illegal for me to walk up to his front door and say hello, I would never ever do that because it is his choice, but there is nothing at all stopping you from looking, I have a young woman who was born in 1986 in Edmonton looking for her birthmom, can I have a little more info? Thanks for reading and replying too. I gave birth Sept 10/86 She was born at the Charles Campsell Hospital in Edmonton. How did you go about finding out about your son? Hope this helps. God Bless Gina

My sons adoption was handled illegally, I had absolutely no information other than his birthdate and the hospital he was born in. I really have to say that it was total intuition and instinct, I woke up one morning after a dream and knew were he was, I found him that day, but the go between didnt tell me for one week.
