Hey there
We are looking to adopt locally in the USA (if possible) at the ripe young age of 48. However we've run into various agencies that are not interested in our age group. So sad...
Curious if any of you young folks have adopted over at age 45 or older with any agencies that you have had a positive experience with. If so, would love to get a referral name to that agency.
We are located in Texas, but would entertain an agency in any state.
We are considering international adoption as another option. Would love some referrals there too if you had a good experience.

You are not particularly old for international adoption. And I have heard of many couples adopting in the U.S. at 45+, usually through private adoption.

We adopted in 2012 at well over 45 years old, and are in the process of adopting again, should finalize by the end of this year. Both infants. This has been a process of adoption through foster care with our county. Good luck!
