My husband and I are currently foster-adopt parents with Angelheart Kids, but as our first placement is coming to an end we're considering changing our agency. We really enjoyed our agency in the beginning, but since they are so small they have a high turn over rate. In the 10 months since our placement started we've been through 4 case workers.
Does anyone have an suggestions for agencies in Region 3 (Dallas/Ft Worth) that you'd recommend? We're in the Arlington area, so as close to that area as possible. Right now we're looking mainly at Jonathan's Place and Covenant Kids but we're open to other suggestions as well.
I tried to PM you but it wouldn't let me. The error message says you may have chosen not to recieve PM messages...hmmm.
You could try to PM me and see it I can PM back - unless it is one of those funky things and you have to have a certain number of post before the system will allow you to do something (I know that is true with making a signature on your post)

Leprechaun, I left you a message with agency recommendation in your guestbook (check your profile, it should be there). Please feel free to PM me.
I'm going to second Wizard's agency, BUT....
I really want to tell you that the turnover is just going to be high (though four is a lot in one placement!). I'm with the largest office of the 3rd largest agency in the state and there have been periods of more turnover here too.

I didn't know about the guest book thing...I just left a message about the agency that I know someone has had success through, with an office in your area.

So due to a certain staff member leaving, I started thinking about turn over a at our agency. Though there have been several people in and out, there also have been interns who werent supposed to be long term as well as several people promoted within the agency AND still a core group of five who been there longer than we have. Additionally, a few "new" workers have been there 1-2 years now. So maybe the turnover hasn't been as great as I thought it was. And I can say that at the biggest transition time, we still never had FOUR different workers.
Just wanted to fix my error :)
