I've read about so many people who continue to parent later in life. Many essentially raise two families - once their biological children have all left home, they start over with foster/adopted children. There's a great advantage to parenting as an older person. By the time we have more years on us, we know more about what's important and what isn't; we "don't sweat the small stuff;" we are usually more financially stable and can often spend more time at home with our children. What's not to love about older parents?!
