Waiting for our first placement!!!!!!

So my husband and I completed our certification and homestudy last week and after we signed the final paper work our caseworker said that right now she has to officially write up our homestudy, but they'll still call us because she technically has everything she needs. It's been a week today and the time is just killing me! We have very few limitations since we're open to 0-17, any race and gender, and we're open to special needs. We're certified for 3 kids as well. I really thought because of this that my phone was gonna start ringing off the hook because we were told there's such a need for foster parents that are open to taking in teens, special needs, etc? My husband is much more patient than I am and just tells me it's gonna happen sooner or later, but I can barely handle the anticipation! I'm literally holding myself back from emailing our case worker to check in because the last thing I wanna do is to be obnoxious, and I also know that they're job isn't to find us a placement, but to help find kids temporary or permanent housing while they deal with a traumatic situation. I just worry that our file is in a stack somewhere forgotten about. Hopefully we'll get a call soon, but in the mean time I would love to hear that I'm not the only one anxiously waiting for the phone to ring! ߘ Keep your fingers crossed for us!!
