Advertising in Canada

I have heard that advertising that you are looking to adopt via social media or any other platform is illegal in Canada. Is this still true? While I understand that this law was likely put in place to keep expectant parents from feeling pressured, once they do want to place, where are they supposed to look? How can you adopt without letting people know you're looking?
