Shreveport, Louisiana 1978

I was born on March 6, 1978 in Shreveport, Louisiana. My birth mother was Katherine (Katie) Watkins. She was a musician with a family of singers that sang blue grass, gospel, etc. My birth mother stayed in the Volunteers of America home for unwed mothers until my birth (and shortly after) before moving across the country. She was 19 at the time of my birth. According to my birth mother, my birth father's name was Jim (possibly last name Branch). He was managing a music store, Southfield Music? around that time (1977) when they met. If he is still living, he might be around 60-65 years old at the current time, possibly younger, possibly older. I will be 40 years old this year.
