I'm currently several years away from being able to adopt from China, but I have a few questions. I have spent much time in China, working with children with severe disabilities who have been orphaned and hope to be able to adopt from China as soon as I turn 30. There is one special little girl I'd love to adopt if her orphanage ever prepares her file (I know there are restrictions on "choosing" the child that you adopt, but I also know it's possible). However, I also don't want this girl waiting around in an orphanage until I could adopt her, as she has some pretty complicated needs. I'm doing my best to advocate for her now, but just wondering... is adopting before 30 EVER allowed? I know a lot of the requirements can be waived, but it's my understanding that this requirement is never waived. Thanks!
