In 2006 I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. I have since found medication, therapy, diet and exercise have kept me stable for many many years. I was told that I was misdiagnosed and actually have generalized anxiety and depression. However, schizoaffective disorder is not something that I can just make go away from my medical documents. I've only had three instances where my panic attacks were so severe that I started to hear things that weren't there from my time in the military. I keep all my appointments and I take all my medication as prescribed. Any amount of advice would be great since I have not even started the process of becoming a foster parent.
