I'm a bmom who placed my son in an open adoption at birth almost 2 years ago. When I was pregnant it was a great help to me to speak with another bmom about what life was like before and after placement. I've seen both how great adoption is and felt the pain of relinquishing a child. Now I'd love to be able to help others. My education and experience has been in special education though. Now I plan on being a stay at home and wife when my baby girl is born in July. I have read about adoption facilitators online, which sound like it may the way to go for me. But can't seem to find any information on how to get started doing this from my home while I raise my daughter. I am not looking to make any profit from it. Only to cover expenses incurred during the actual process by a bmom. There would not be any fee I would charge that would be considered my fee. Any websites or books out there, maybe another person who has done this? Looking for resources. Thank you.
Many hugs,
Shannon

Two were open independent adoptions and three were children in foster care. i know many people wanting to adopt but think it is too expensive. Also, know many children who are in need of perenent homes, but people are unaware or afraid of possible troubles, because many of these children are older. Both are unnecessary obstacles. If you get any info on how to go about this e-mail at myshane@dosplos.org. best of luck to you Shanon. You are one in a million, God bless you
