My birth mother is out there, please contact me

I have made indirect contact with my birth mother through her brother, my Uncle. He has indicated that Shirley, my birth mother does not wish to make contact. However I have been very discreet and am not sure if he is just protecting her and if she knows that I am out here wanting to make contact. I discovered that I was adopted three years ago and know because of her age that time may be running out. This is serious stuff, when you don't know what may lie ahead of you medically or if you have a family out there to relate to. The reasons for adopting and current status of each party becomes irrelavent, it is just an instinctive drive, one that will never go away. So if someone knows the whereabouts of Shirley Patricia Russell, formerly Hawksworth and born as Allott, could they please let me know. Michael
