My husband and I are trying to adopt internationally. We live in Georgia. He has a misdemeanor possession arrest from 23 years ago (1 month after he turned 18) and a DUI from around 10 years ago. Is this going to prohibit us from adopting internationally? There is nothing else on either of our records. I can't believe that we would be punished so severely for two cases of, admittedly, very bad judgement.
We've been through failed fertility treatments and this is our only chance of having a child. Please help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
