I need to know how to go about seeing my daughter legally. She was adopted at about 5yrs. We've had contact, we want to see each other, but legally. She is now 16.
My parental rights were terminated by the court. We are in OR. Her parents agree, but want to do it legally.
Please help! Thank you.

If her adoptive parents agree, then what is the problem? Why can't you guys just all get together and have lunch or something? What legalities are you concerned about? Is there a restraininf order against you or anything that says that you cannot see her until she is 18?

I dont know about the states but there isnt anything illegal about searching finding and reuniting with a minor here in Canada. I would believe it would be about the same there there is nothing illegal about wanting to see your child...they are not Possession they are people
