Adopted without an agency.

I was adopted close to 5 days old, but not through an agency. They did it through a lawyer (which I know the name of), but the law firm that lawyer worked for has split up (we think) and the mother's name was left out of the whole adoption. I'm trying to find her but I can't figure out any ways of getting ahold of the lawyer. If any of you have any ideas besides looking in the phone book, please help me.
