how do i adopt?

I went to college with a woman and she found herself to be pregnant again. I just found this out a few days ago, and she is now 7 months along. My brother - n - law knows her very well, and he suggested my husband and I to her. She said that we would be perfect parents for her unborn son. The child may have special needs, which is just fine with us. We have the room and all the love in the world to give, but we don't have the money for the adoption process. I am supposed to contact her and i would like to talk to attorny as well. Is there a way of doing this? How would be be able to adopt without having the money? We don't want the baby to go to foster care. I know that most foster parents are great! But we would love to have this baby boy. Please help us find the answers. Thank you!
