CONTACT THIS NON-PROFIT SUPPORT GROUP IN NEW YORK:
Adoption Crossroads, Joe Soll, email: cera@IDT.NET, phone:
212-988-0110
...have the birth mother obtain "non-identifying" information about the adopting family from the adoption agency that handled the adoption
...you and the birth mother should both request a "Waiver for Consent to Contact" form from the adoption agency and have it placed in the adoption file
...you and the birth mother should both sign up on the New York Adoption Registry at POB 2602, Albany, NY 12220
...post your information with as many on-line registries as possible and don't change your email address until your search is resolved.
...and most important...don't ever give up. Even the most difficult searches can probably be resolved if you persist in your search.
Warm Regards,
