You can find out what county you were born in by writing to the following person.

2411 Mail Service Center
Raleigh, NC 27699-2411
Attn: Amelia Lance
Included DOB, social security number, aparents' names,
the agency adopted through and adoption decree number (if you have it). It may help to include a copy of your BC.
Tell her you would like to send for your NON-ID. If your adoption was handled privately, you may have some problems getting it.
